It serves as a great foot rest for shaving in the shower. The included foot leveling pads provide extra flexibility and stability to allow stabilization due to any minor slope in shower floors. Teak is naturally water, mold, and mildew resistant due to its natural density and high oil content. It has been the wood of choice for hundreds of years of luxury boat builders. Decoteak proudly sources its products from small rural villages on the island of Java in Indonesia. The area we source from has been known for hundreds of years as a center for wood carving, crafts, painting, and furniture making. Many of the crafts people have been working in handicrafts and furniture for several generations. With proper maintenance it will retain its beautiful appearance and functionality for years to come.
